To tell you the story of K-Dub’s first time seeing snow, I have to tell you a story about what happened to me last Tuesday morning on my way to work.
I was driving on some of the back roads and jamming to some MC Hammer, when I heard a loud thud coming from the front of my car. I jumped cause it scared me and looked around. I looked behind me and did not see anything and then proceeded to dance in my chair as the song was getting to my favorite part.
After a long day of work, the snow had started right when I pulled up to the house. I went inside and said hello to the wife and kid and started to open our mail. The snow started to really come down and my wife, being the sweet woman that she is, said she was going to put cardboard on my windshield. She then comes in and yells for me to come outside. I was thinking that the snow was starting to get heavy but I found this…
I carefully took the dead bird out with a paper towel wrapped around my hands so I did not have to touch it and threw it in the dumpster. So the lesson from this story is to always get out of the car and check it if you think you hit something or in this case when something hits you.
The next day the snow had fallen and work was closed so we decided to go outside and let K-Dub experience her first snow day! We put her on the ground to let her walk and she smiled and took a few steps. Then she fell and her hands hit her the snow-covered ground. She started to cry so we picked her up. It was either the fact that the snow was too cold or the fact that Mom had bundled her up so much that she looked like little Randy from A Christmas Story(“I can’t put my arms down!”). Take a look at our pictures and see for yourselves.
