Since K-Dub has turned one we have been trying(with the ok from her doctor) to try new foods. We have been instructed that there is nothing that K-Dub cannot eat so anything is fair game. We have introduced fries, apple sauce, yogurt, veggies, and milk. Our number one goal was to get her off the formula and start eating normal people food. Normal food that does not cost Mom and Dad $50.00 a month.
The first night started by giving her an ounce of formula and three ounces of milk. It went great and she fell back asleep with no problem. The next night we gave her just milk and she woke up twice and had to be rocked to sleep. After that we decided that she needs to get rid of the bottle and take a sippy cup. So that night she wanted nothing to do with the sippy cup and we ended up giving her a bottle of just milk.
We were at our end cause she was now waking up twice a night and waking up earlier than usual. So I told my wife to try giving her water instead during the second time waking up. She tried it and it failed. So now we are still getting up on the average of twice a night cause it seems that whole milk is not filling as four ounces of formula.
Do any of you parents have any advice on how to get your kid to sleep through the night? How to go from bottle to sippy cup? Please parents, we need your help!
