Summer Adventure 5- Beach Day

So yesterday was the second day of our family vacation and we decided to spend the entire day on the beach. My father-in-law was also down at the beach with us and he brought his boat.

We packed some sandwiches, fishing poles, and some bottle water then headed to the ocean. The water was perfect and the sun was bright. We fished for a couple if hours. My father-in-law taught me how to catch fish using a net. I have to admit that I got really good at towards the end. I caught three fish. They were small but it still counts.

After we fished, we decided to head down the inlet of Holden Beach and park the boat. We got out and had a picnic lunch with chicken salad sandwiches, chips, and drinks. It was a lot of fun. We then played with K-Dub she hated to water and sand at first but then she could not get enough of it. We all got so nasty but it was a lot of fun.

After lunch and some swim time we got back in the boat for a tour of the inlet. K-Dub fell asleep on me which was nice cause she needed a quick nap. After we headed back to shore we put the boat on the trailer and went back to Nana’s house.

Nana had invited some of her friends over and we grilled hamburgers and hotdogs. I made some awesome homemade ice cream and before we knew it it was time for K-Dub to go to sleep.

It was a fun day and we had so much fun. I did get sunburned on my legs really bad. It hurts but I would do all over again if I could. Best family day ever and we are just getting started.
