This month I changed the way I was doing things. I decided to take the focus off of how many calories I was burning and start focusing on my nutrition a little more. I bought the Now Eat This cookbook by Rocco DiSpirito. He is on my favorite show, Extreme Weight Loss. In this book he takes all of my favorite foods that are not at all healthy and gives them a makeover. He changes the ingredients to make them healthy. Like his brownies are only 53 calories! His enchiladas are only 132 calories! I was loving it and for the first time since my father passed away, the pounds were dropping. I still have my cheat days every now and then. I do love my sweets.

As far as my fitness for month 3 goes, I stayed at a goal of burning 920 calories per day. I only hit my goal 3 out of 7 days the entire month. I was not worried. I was picking things up during my crossfit workouts. I was working on my snatches and trying to learn to maintain form when doing a Metcon. I was still running my daily runs and I only missed one run and that was this past Tuesday. My busy schedule prevented me from getting to it but I just consider it an extra rest day.

Goals For Month Four- My main issue with month 4 is going to be how to combine my handle on my nutrition, keep up with my calorie burn, and my runs. I am now in the “Getting Faster” phase of my training plan. The runs are still the same distance but at a much faster pace. At the end of month 4 that is going to change as I enter the “Going Further” phase that will last until mid October. The last three months before this marathon are going to be the most challenging. Not only is the marathon coming soon but also is the birth of my second daughter. The week she is suppose to come is the week I have my first 20 mile run. So I guess you can say that my month 4 goals is to take everything I learned the first three months and find a way to balance them all together.

Here we go!
