Much Needed Labor Day Weekend

It had occurred to me about a month a go that I had not taken any time off since Disney so I decided to take some time off. It also so happened to be Labor Day weekend.

So my wife and I took the weekend and spent time together as a family. It was nice to spend some time together. We went to a few shops, ate at some restaurants, watched Disney movies, cleaned the house, and even my wife did some crafts. It was great to take some time out of the usually day to day and just be a family and relax.

We took the kids to The Disney Store and they lost their minds. They always enjoy going and picking out a new stuff animal. Evie sometimes thinks she can leave the store with a handful of stuff. You have to watch her.

I got some good training in this weekend as it fell on my leg and push day. I am getting stronger heading into week three and my body is changing in ways I am loving. I really do believe I will be show ready on time.

Me and the kids got some much needed naps in.

We even had the nephews over and played with them to get us ready. We will be keeping them in two weeks. One house, two adults and four kids… GOD HELP US! Although I did find out they can be bribed with mashmellows

By the time Sunday rolled around we were tired and spent the day getting ready for the next four days of work and school but we found some time to take fun pictures.

Not a bad way to say goodbye to Summer.

Disney Mug Tuesday- Fairy Godmother Mug

This weeks mug shows off my family’s love for the movie Cinderella. My daughter is obsessed with this movie and when we went to Disney we met Cinderella three times cause my daughter just could not get enough and we even had dinner in Cinderella’s castle.

I got this mug for my wife to remind her that things take time and not everything happens when you want them to. We start renovating the house and making upgrades and things we all over the place. She picked it up this past weekend and said it was a great reminder.

We still enjoyed meeting Cinderella and her stepsisters. I hope next time we can meet the Fairy Godmother herself.

Disney Mug Tuesday- Pluto Mug

If you read yesterday’s blog then you know that I just finished the Disney Virtual Race Series for 2017 and I am thrilled to have done it. Yes, it was only three 5k races and I have ran a marathon but it was nice to run a race at my pace to get me warmed up for my fall races I have coming up.

The best part about these races are that they were Pluto themed. Each month you got a piece of Pluto and if you signed up for all three races you got the medal with Pluto on it. Everyone knows I am a Disney freak ever since going to Disney World for the first time back in March.

To go along with my favorite Disney dog I got this mug and I have to say it has become one of my favorite ones. It holds a lot of coffee first and foremost and it is also really easy to drink out of thanks to the lip on the rim.

When I use this mug I think of meeting Pluto and how happy my kids were to meet him.

#MedalMonday- Disney Virtual Race- August

We have not had a medal Monday Monday in a while and I completed my virtual race for August! I have to say this was a fun event and I managed to get the August medal and the medal for completing all three races. So now that this series of races are over I have a lot of great things happening in the fall that I am super excited about. I even got my family involved in some of them.

Here is the August mug

Here is the one for the entire series of three races!

Disney Mug Tuesday- Mickey Mug

This week we are talking about my favorite mouse. I don’t have very many mugs with Mickey on them but I do have. a few. When you go to Disney world your are surrounded by all things Mickey which is great. Some of my favorite memories was meeting this guy in Epcot. The first time you see Mickey at Disney World is very surreal. You see pics and videos of other people but until you are right there beside him and hugging him it is a different ballgame.

As you can see we met Mickey a few times but each time was just as magical. I am so looking forward to seeing this mouse in 2018.

For now I will just drink out of this mug.

Disney Mug Tuesday- Princess Castle Mug

When you are a dad of girls you trade in the obsession of superheros and take up reality that your kids are into everything princess. From crowns and dresses to the shoes and make up, all my girls want to do is be a princess. They are so cute so it is not really that hard for them.

When we were in Disney World we met a lot of princesses. We even had a few meals with some of them. My girls were in awe of them and never knew what to say.

Here are some of the princesses they met.

When I got this cool mug my kids kept fighting over it. So I kept it for myself. Check it out.

#MedalMonday- Disney Virtual Race- July

It has been a hot minute since I posted a Medal Monday so I recently completed my time for the July Disney Virtual Race and wanted to share my medal for the month.

This month I really hopped back on the track and treadmill. I have not really ran this hard since the Charlotte Marathon event last November so it has been since to work my distance back up and to get me ready for the races and competitions I have coming in 2018.
