Well I am really surprised I have any readers out there at all. My wife actually made the comment to me yesterday that it had been a while since I last blogged. Our little family has gone through some major changes.
In case you have not followed me on social media lately, then you must know that I got an amazing promotion at work and now I am full time! This year has been hard and with the power of prayer and a lot of hard work I managed to score this amazing opportunity. I can’t wait to see what happens next as I continue to grow and learn more about the exciting world of advertising! Now I have to get use to working 8 hours again, fighting traffic, and getting up early.
Also I found out why my leg has been bothering me. My knee started to swell last week and it was really hurting. I found that my knee and entire leg became inflamed. The reason was that I was doing way too much exercising. So now I have cut back on my routine. Now I am just doing my cool down run and my long. run. Today is the first day I feel like I could run again, which is good because my marathon is less then 8 weeks way! So this week I am back to hitting the pavement and I could not be more ready.
We are only 3 short weeks away from Baby E coming! We are in crunch mode as we finish her room, wash her clothes, fold her blankets, and bring out the high chair. Things are changing at our house. As the days get closer I am getting more scared and excited. I am ready to meet her but I am dreading the lack of sleep that any parent will tell you is a real struggle.
There are a lot of things to be thankful for and a lot to be scared about. Thanks to everyone who has kept my family in your prayers and continued to support us. You love and encouragement means the world to us!
Well we finally made to the reveal of the gender of our second child. I have to say that this pregnancy has left me wondering if maybe this time around I was going to be having a son. My wife has been very sick all the time, She has craved sour pickles, her belly was what seemed to me, carrying the baby very high. All signs were pointing to a boy.
We decided that we were going to wait and find out with our family. We had the ultrasound tech place the gender in a sealed envelope and we gave it to a trust friend and that went and bought silly string. After covering the cans so we would not see the color, they were placed in a gender natural bag and stapled it shut.
We gathered our family around at the local park. We provided doughnuts and water but we knew that the only thing they cared about was what was in the bad. After handing out the can we stood together and counted down. 1…2…3… SPRAY!!!!

It was revealed that we were going to have a… GIRL!!!!
Yes another girl! I have to admit that I was a little upset. I swore up and down that this one was going to be a boy. I think that it would have been great to have a boy cause it would have been a new adventure for my wife and I. Unfortunately, the world had other plans for us. I have to say that as I sat and thought about it, I am actually really excited about having another girl. K-Dub loves me to pieces and I she is really a Daddy’s girl. So as of today I am ok with another girl.
As for a name, Everly Mae will be joining our family this October. We are already so in love!
Well we are almost finished. I can’t believe it’s almost here and I feel so unprepared. I think I have done a good job up until now about not panicking but I am full panick mode now. There is still so much to be done before Karsyn gets here. I still have to put the last finishing touches on her room. Trying to organize has been the hardest thing.
I guess every new dad goes through things like this. The constant thoughts like “Am I ready for this?” or “What if I screw this up?” These are the kind of thoughts I have had for the past few weeks. I am scared that this is going to be something I fail at miserably cause I know nothing about babies or how to take care of them. I guess it is time to break out the baby book for another refresher course.
On the brighter side, my family did receive some awesome news last night. My brother and his wife are expecting their second child. I am so happy for them and they are already wonderful parents to my niece Charlee. I am so excited for being an uncle for the second time. Its going to be amazing!
