I Could Use A Stiff Drink After This Week!

Sorry for the absence since last Friday. Its been crazy this past week. I hate it when life stuff always gets in the way. Sometimes there is just not enough hours in the day. I have been so exhausted, which I blame a little on the fact that the time has changed. Still not use to it being daylight outside at seven.

There is nothing special about this post. I have had a hard time this week coming up with things to write about. Its hard coming up with fresh ideas every week. So today I just decided I would right about my weekend up until now. Maybe next week I will be able to come back to my reader with more funny and amazing stories. Until then, you get this…

This past weekend, my wife and I went and met her family for lunch to celebrate my mother-in-law’s 50th birthday. It was a lot of fun and I got to spend some much-needed time with my nephew. Love that kid! I have to say that it is great to have a family that are constantly wanting to get together. I miss that in my own family but we are all so busy.

After lunch, I finally made a point to go to the show store and buy me some running shoes. These will come in handy as I am running my first race on May 17. Thats why there is a countdown on the site now. I am so excited and its nice to know that I don’t have to worry about shin splints or blisters when I run for now. At least until I wear these out and have to by more.

Monday is usually Daddy and Daughter Mondays with our weekly adventure to Storytime, but K-Dub decided to sleep really late so we stayed home and played at our local playground. We did have a great lunch with Paw Paw at Chickfila. I swear that place is amazing and I never have bad experience when I go there. K-Dub loves their nuggets. After lunch we made a point to go to Target. I only bought an Easter basket for $2.50, which is the cheapest I have ever came out of that store.

Then the rest of the week was nuts. The work and home grind was at full effect and by the time I got home I was ready to crash. I did manage to get to the gym last night. I started weight training last night so I could not miss it.

It’s so hard to manage life on a daily basis and sometimes I just want to stay in bed and pray that one day I will be rich. I love my life and I know that its only going to get more busy as K-Dub gets older and starts playing sports, doing dance, and other kid activities.

Next week is going to be crazy to cause I start my training for my race. I am doing that and weight training at the same time so I might be spending my Sunday making dinner meals to freeze for every night next week.

When I Realized I Was A Grown-Up

I think I realized I was a grown up was when I moved into my first apartment and had to start paying my own bills. I also think the reality came when I started my big boy job!

Now that I have been on my own for sometime now and I am married, I think that having to do everything like laundry, cleaning, and mowing the grass make being an adult all too real.

I hate that on my days off i find myself staying busy with task to do around the house. Sometimes I am more tired on my days off then I am when I have to work.

Being an adult is awesome and I would not trade the responsibility for anything!

Heading To The Beach!

Its been a long time since my last entry but I have decided to start writing again.  I am actually heading to the beach on a well deserve vacation with my awesome wife. I will return soon with a huge update and let you know whats been going on for the past year. Some things are great while others will be hard to tell. I will also update the photos page with some new one. I also have some cute videos of my niece I would love to share.  See you soon!

On Your Own

I have been living on my own for six months now and I have found it to be the most greatest experience I have ever had. I was a little worried when I first went out into the world. I remember thinking to myself, “can I do this?” I was amazed to find that after the first two months its easier to get in a routine. This way you know what bills are coming when and what day you must pay them. I also found that when it comes to food, you need to carry four rules with you at all times.

1. Always bring the leftovers home.

2. Supermarket savings cards are your best friend.

3. No food is thrown away.

4. Eat it before it goes bad.

I am a firm believer that everything does happen for a reason. When I first moved into my apartment I had a serious issue with my roommate. He was always complaining and treated me like I was living for him. He told me when I could and could not have people over. This is no way for roommates to act. If you are paying for your half of the bills then you should be able to do anything you want to do. I can at least say that the roommate I am speaking about no longer lives with me. I have two roommates that so happen to be family so I have not had a issue with them at all. Sometimes they can be a little messy but so can I. Every roommate needs to find a solid ground and work up from there.

I can at least say that living on my own has been a hard experience and a good one. I have had months where I was struggling but the best part about that is that you know that you can’t struggle forever. I have months where it was easy but the one thing I have learned is to enjoy every moment and not to trade them for anything.

What my living room used to look like. i have totally redone it since then
